We do all kinds of repairs and remodeling. We have experience is all type of remodeling: Baths, kitchens, flooring, electrical, plumbing and tiling floors, tubs and showers. We have an A+ rating on Angie's List. We operate in Catawba, Burke and Caldwell counties and offer free estimates.
I'm handy in Bathrooms. We repair all bath fixtures. We install new tubs, showers, sinks, toilet and vent fans. We remodel entire baths including tile floors, showers and asurrounds.
I am a Carpenter. We remodel rooms, walls and ceilings. We can remodel old rooms or build new ones. We also repair all kinds of damaged structures.
I'm handy with Doors. We repair or realign doors. We install new ones, with or without new frames.
I fix Electricity. We can repair most small electrical problems. We can install new wirting for remodeled rooms. We can install new outlets and switches.
I'm handy with Flooring. We install all kinds of flooring. Laminates, hardwoods, tile. We can install small areas of vinyl.
I'm handy in the Kitchen. We can remodel entire kitchens or repair broken ones. With a subcontractor, we can install new cabinets and countertops. We can also reface old cabinets to give them new life without the new cost.
I'm handy with Painting. We can do any type of painting, inside or out, including power washing and staining old decks and porches.
I fix Windows or install new ones. We can have new glass installed in the new gas filled double pane windows.
He came as soon as he was finished with the job he was working on. He thought he would have all the parts he needed but ended up having to go to the hardware store to get one piece. I had to take my son to work so he ran his errand while I ran mine.He was very thorough in showing me exactly what I needed to do to turn the water back on after the seal was dry on the repaired pipe. He also lived less than 5 minutes away and we both listen to the same Christian radio station which was another point of interest.

This company performed two services: Installing a kitchen sink faucet, and replacing a bathroom ceiling fan. The faucet requred some plumbing adjustments, and the fan installation required some ceiling, duct and electrical work.
He arrived on time. He provided an estimated prior to arrival based on a number of questions he asked me regarding the projects. He completed the projects in less time than I expected, and did a great job. He is professional, and cleans up after himself. I appreciate that he takes some of the items I replaced, as he fixes them up and provides them to needy families in some charities he works with. He charged exactly as promised. I will definitely use him for future projects around the house.

Riley & Son replaced 2 attic access ladders (including molding around entryway), fixed storm door, and converted several outlets to GFCI.
I am pleased with how all 3 of the projects turned out.
1.Our storm door handle/lock was replaced and now the door now closes completely -problem solved.
2.The old and broken pull down ladders to two attics were removed and hauled away. Ladders were replaced, and since the molding around the entryway no longer fit, the molding was replaced and painted.
3.Several outlets were changed to GFCI outlets
He was efficient, had reasonable rates, and communicated well about his reporting time. Jobs well done.

I purchased a house I wanted to convert to a rental - there were a LOT of repairs and remodling projects that needed to be done. The major job was a total remodel of the master bathroom that required water and drain lines to be moved as well as new lighting fixtures where there were none. Several of the interior doors did not shut properly and both exterior doors needed to be replaced.
The job was started on time and both father and son worked non-stop during the time they were on site. There were several stages in remodel that required other tradespeople to come in and Mr. Riley was very accomodating about working within my schedule so that the entire project was completed without unnecessary delays.
I was so impressed with the work he did on this house I've hired him to do repairs on another rental.

The house is a sixty year old ranch. The main bathroom toilet has had a leak around the wax seal for a number of years. The vinyl covered floor in the area was "spongy" underfoot. Gene came in and removed the toilet and pulled up two layers of vinyl flooring and chip core/flake board under layment. After evaluating the main joists he found that one area needed a supporting piece which he added.He replaced the subfloor with plywood and a Hardie backer board on top. Then he installed 12" ceramic tiles to the 5' x 8' floor.He replaced the old insulation under the floor.
In the kitchen he put in an updated faucet which we had purchased seperately. He said he is happy to either buy the materials needed or to come install what we have purchased.
He took two minutes (no charge) to get a doorknob to to stay attached that I have been attempting to fix for 4 months.
Riley & Son was able to meet me the next day to see the scope of the job. We met again on a Friday and he had a professional straight forward contract showing what we had discussed with the costs for materials and labor seperate. The agreement was for 50% down and 50% upon completion.
He came in on the Monday morning following and working alone was finished by mid day on Wednesday. He worked hard and steady the whole time. He came with all the tools, supplies and equipment that he needed to complete the job. He did think he had lost a 4" piece of 1/4" Round molding that was pulled up. This was the only thing that he said he would have to come back later to complete, but he was wrong... He found it!
When he left on Wednesday not only was the job complete, but he had carried away all the demolition debris. I did not have to pick up any trash that he left behind. We plan to have Gene do several more jobs for us.

Riley and Sons installed an outdoor fence for my dogs.
Gene Riley of Riley and Sons is a very professional, reliable and dependable person. I hired Gene to install a fence for my dogs, I
explained to him that I did not want to spend a lot of money and he provided an estimate that could not be beat. He even went so far as to go to Home Depot and put all the supplies on a cart for me to go in and pay for (which most contractors will not let you do) and put on will call so that he could pick them up the next day to complete the fence installation. The fence was just what I wanted and the work performed was outstanding. As a matter of fact, I was so impressed with his work and business ethic that I have hired him to install a doggie door. I will hire Gene and his team for any of my projects going forward and I highly recommend him to others. He is certainly an outstanding person!.

We hired Gene Reilly to rehab a doublewide which we needed to rent out. This included interior patching and painting, entry door replacement, interior door replacement, deck repair and/or replacement, kitchen formica replacement, plumbing for intallation of a dishwasher,fence relpacement,, window replacement, tile, repair to linoleum floor, making and staining of kitchen cabinets.
When we met with Gene he was punctual. We received an estimate in a day or two, and said he could start in 3 weeks and be done in three weeks. He started in four and finished in four (which we find to be typical of most contractors.)
We were not only happy with the results of the finished job, but we were impressed that when he found a problem, he took care of it. For example, while removing an entry door, he found the subfloor was rotted and replaced the wood there, as well as replacing a rubber gasket under the toilet which was leaking. He just did the right thing.

New exterior door and frame was installed on the back of the house. Installed an attic ladder and a lighting system in the attic.
Mr. Riley came to our house the day he was called and discussed the work needing to be done. He gave us an estimate while he was there and told me he could start the following Monday. Monday morning he was at here and began the work. I had a last minute doctor's appointment which kept him from finishing everything the same day but he was very understanding. He left when I had to leave and came back the next morning and completed the work. The attic ladder looks and works great. And there's a light switch at the top to flip and turn on lights over the section of the attic we use for storage. He also took his time and made sure the door and frame he installed was completely level and airtight. The work was high quality and he was a true professional. I would definitely use his service again.

Gene performed a number or services for us, helping us to update and remodel a second home. Gene put in hardwood floors, smoothed walls and did interior painting, installed drywall, performed some light electrical work, repaired some deck planks that were damaged, and replaced faucet fixtures. Note: spend $ above includes both labor and materials for several weeks-long project.
From the beginning, Gene was very responsive to our requests, and we found him to be very reliable and helpful throughout the life of our project. Gene looked out for our financial interests, offering his suggestions while at the same time ensuring that where we could save money on materials and options, we were able to do so. Gene worked very well with little direction; we were not able to be on site while Gene was completing our projects, but Gene was good about checking in, providing updates and asking for feedback. At the end of the project, Gene ensured that we had a walk through to guarantee that all the work was completed in line with our expectations, and he agreed to follow up on the few items we had to make sure there was 100% satisfaction with the quality of the work. We also greatly appreciated Gene's recommendations for other service providers for related projects and his willingness to coordinate with those people while he was completing our project work for us. Gene was professional, responsive and customer service oriented from start to finish.
